#ttmFood: Tried out the new #Guenpin (玄品) #Fugu and #SnowCrab #Japanese #Restaurant in #TanjongPagar in Singapore. It seems like the only restaurant that serves Fugu in Singapore. There was one other (Fuku) that closed down some years back.

In this picture is the #Puffer Fish for #HotPot (S$55), served with fresh vegetables, dipped with ponzu sauce for the perfect taste. The other is snow #crab #sashimi.

Out of 22 kinds of puffer fish that are permitted for consumption by law in Japan, #Torafugu, also known as Tiger Puffer Fish, is recognised as the highest grade of fugu.

Rich in collagen and protein, Torafugu has lesser calories and fats compared to other fishes (approximately 85 kcal per 100g), making it ideal for good health and beauty.

With a tougher body form, the Torafugu meat is more chewy than other fishes with a full body of sweetness and tenderness.
