Taipei2016Dec: Lots of very fresh, yummy seafood at Addiction Aquatic Development in Taipei, Taiwan.
Had myself some oysters!
Taipei2016Dec: Food is abundant and good and inexpensive all over Taiwan.
Every few steps we took in Taipei, we would come across some food stall or shop, cafe or restaurant.
It’s indeed a paradise on earth for the foodie!

Taipei2016Dec: View of Taipei 101, the world’s tallest building from 2004 to 2011 when it was overtaken by Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The elevator goes from the 5th storey to the 89th in 37 seconds!!!
The building is a landmark in Taipei where you can see it from almost anywhere in the capital.

Taipei2016Dec: Devotees praying in front of the main altar of Taipei Tian Hou temple in the heart of 西门町.
We actually stumbled upon this temple on our way to dinner.
Turned out it is one of the three great temples of the Bangka (Wanhua) District of 台北.
This 天后宫 is 270 years old although the current building was completed in 1959 after a fire.
The temple is devoted to 妈祖 and other deities.

Taipei2016Dec: A street scene in the heart of Ximending （西门町）, the Harajuku of Taipei.
When I look at this shot, my eyes get drawn to the couple in the centre of the frame taking a casual stroll in the busy bustling streets under the slight drizzle.
The word “paktor” is a Chinese word （拍拖）that refers to a couple going out together.
